First Fruit x Phnom Penh University Students Ministry
Since we began ministering to university students in Phnom Penh in 2018, we are now tasting some encouraging results. Three graduates from the Pailin Bahuy AGS Primary School have returned to Pailin after their University graduation to serve at the Bright Pailin School, taking on roles in administration and education. On the church development side, the Pailin Bahuy Lighthouse Church has been established for over two years. In 2023, four new believers were baptized and joined the church, with an average attendance of forty people at various church activities.
Some primary and secondary school graduates sponsored by AGS are pursuing university studies in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. In 2018, AGS launched a university student ministry in Phnom Penh, providing actual tuition assistance to university students. Our vision is to equip university students as disciples of the Lord through the holistic teachings of the Bible and various types of whole-person ministry training, helping them rediscover the value and glory of God’s creation of humanity; to help them become future leaders of Cambodia with the love, righteousness, and integrity of Christ; and to encourage them to serve their communities, help the people emerge from the shadow of post-war devastation, and contribute to the country’s revival. In doing so, we also hope to let love, grace, and positive education grow in the local community.’
