Alliance Global Serve
"Share the Life-transforming Good News of Jesus Christ to All Peoples and Build up Christian Communities in All Nations."
History
Alliance Global Serve (AGS) is the international mission agency of the Kowloon Tong Church of The Chinese Christian and Missionary Alliance (CC&MA). AGS upholds the ministry spirit of Dr. Albert Benjamin Simpson, the founder of the CC&MA: “Taking the forgotten Gospel to the forgotten places among the forgotten people.”
As early as 1964, the CC&MA began sending missionaries overseas. From 1973 to 1995, it co-organized the “Chinese Christian Church Overseas Evangelistic Missions” with the Hong Kong Christian Church District Federation, sending over 50 missionaries to 10 countries in Southeast Asia, Europe, and Africa. This ministry was transferred to the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) for continued leadership and development in 1995.
To promote the cross-churches and cross-cultural ministers of the CC&MA, the church reorganized the ministry institution in that same year, jointly supporting missionaries to serve in unreached communities. After ten years of exploration and development, on March 12, 2006, the first joint Mission Sunday worship service among the Christian Alliance denomination was held and founding celebration of “Alliance Global Serve” was launched and officially established.
